Martin Supports Dwyer Family Call for Full Independent Inquiry into 2009 Killing

FIANNA Fáil Leader Micheál Martin has said a full independent and external inquiry into the killing of Michael Dwyer in Bolivia is required and he urged the UN to support the request being made by the Dwyer family.

Michael Dwyer was shot dead in the Hotel Las Americas in Santa Cruz in April 2009.

Out of a total spending limit for candidates of €230,000, Sinnott  spent € 49, 389.94 to date.

Sinnott urges people to reuse election posters

1IRELAND South MEP Kathy Sinnott is urging people who think that they may find a use for election posters after June 5 to reuse and recycle them.

The Cork MEP said that while such posters are though of as a single use campaigning tool that they can actually be used after the elections in a million handy ways.

Sinnott welcomes Government’s application to EGF

CORK based MEP Kathy Sinnott has welcomed Tanaiste Mary Coughlan’s announcement that the Government plans to apply to the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund in the coming weeks.
Mrs Sinnott, a member of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs said that while she had been concerned that the government had not taken these steps sooner, she is delighted that they are finally making inroads in this process.

INDEPENDENT candidate in the Macroom electoral Area, Jerry O’Sullivan is calling for County Cork to receive its proportionate level of national investment funding.

“Cork City and County has over half a million people (14% of the population of the Republic of Ireland) and produces over one-third (34%) of all goods and services (GDP) produced in this nation. We in Cork are one-third of the Irish Economy,” said Mr O’Sullivan.
