THOUSANDS of Mortgage holders in distress throughout Cork have seen little or no action by the Government in 12 months and a proposal by Fianna Fáil to establish a Debt Settlement and Mortgage Resolution Office should now by backed by the Government, according to local TD Billy Kelleher.
Deputy Kelleher commented: “The mortgage crisis is deepening by the day and all we are seeing is Government inaction. It is a full six months since the Keane Report was published and I find it astonishing that many of the key recommendations from the report have not been implemented.
