THE effort to build a new garda station in Ballincollig has taken a step forward after the Minister for Education, Batt O’Keeffe confirmed that the Office of Public Works (OPW) is to ask building contractors to express interest in the project.
A pre-qualification notice will appear on the Government’s website for public projects, etenders.ie, early next week seeking expressions of interest from building contractors.
The OPW will then shortlist a number of these contractors and ask them to formally tender for the project.
