MORE than 380,000 eligible voters in Cork will be given the chance to decide who they want to represent them in local government and in Brussels today.
Polling stations for the local and European elections opened at 7am today and will remain open until 10pm this evening.
Reports have suggested that polling across Cork is slow but steady this morning.
Anyone over 18 who is on the electoral register, regardless of nationality, can vote in the local elections while Irish and other EU citizens can vote for Europe and Irish and British nationals can vote for the Dáil.
Voters are also being advised that they may still be entitled to vote even if they have not received a polling card.
All individuals should ensure to bring the relevant ID with them such as a passport, driving licence, or employee or student photo ID card.
