THE three newly elected MEPs in the Euro South constituency and a number of the candidates who failed to secure seat in the constituency have addressed the people in Neptune Stadium this evening.
All of the politicians sincerely thanked the returning officers and count staff who had worked tirelessly to deliver the results over the past 48 hours.

LABOUR Party leader, Eamon Gilmore is in Neptune Stadium this evening to help celebrate Alan Kelly’s win.
Amongst the many other members of the party who have joined MEP Kelly in the celebrations are Senator Michael McCarthy, Deputy Sean Sherlock, Deputy Kathleen Lynch and Deputy Ciaran Lynch.

LABOUR’S Alan Kelly has taken the third seat in the Euro South constituency.

THE count is continuing at Neptune Stadium this evening.
Last this afternoon Sinn Féin’s Toireasa Ferris was eliminated from the race for a seat for the Euro South constituency and her votes are now being re-distributed amongst Sinnott and Kelly.
Results from this count are expected within the next hour.

FINE Gael’s Sean Kelly has become the second candidate to be elected to the Euro South constituency.

It’s anticipated that Sean Kelly could be elected at this count.

FIANNA Fáil’s Brian Crowley has just taken the first seat in the Euro-South elections.
Following the re-distribution of Ned O’ Keeffe’s votes, Crowley managed to overshoot the quota, giving him a total of 132,410 votes.
